About The Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers
Our History - Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers has been in existence since July 1, 2011. It was created by the Edmonton Immigrant Services Association and the Centre d'Accueil et d'Établissement du Nord de l'Alberta to deliver settlement services in Grande Prairie in both official languages English and French. The centre operates with seven employees and our staff and volunteers come from diverse backgrounds.
Our Mission - The Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers is a community-driven initiative. Our mission is to welcome newcomers and assist them in their settlement and integration in Grande Prairie and the surrounding area.
Our Vision - A welcoming and inclusive community where newcomers can root themselves into Canadian society.
Our Funders - We are funded by the government of Canada through the Department of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada.
