About this Program
Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers provides support services to Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) and their families in Grande Prairie and surrounding areas. We serve as a bridge between TFWs, the community, and employment.
Who is eligible?
A Temporary Foreign Worker is a foreign national who has been authorized to enter and remain in Canada as a worker for a specific period of time, often with a specified employer.
Bilingual services in English and French
Orientation to life in Grande Prairie, Alberta, and Canada
Information on accessible programs and services in the community
Information on rights and responsibilities, and about applicable municipal, provincial, and federal programs and services
Referral to appropriate community and government services and resources
