Workshops and Information Sessions - We hold workshops on different topics. Through workshops and group sessions we provide newcomers with relevant information to make informed decisions in regard to settlement matters and successfully integrate into the new community. We ensure to address useful topics tailored to newcomers' needs. Topics include housing, banking system, health system, education, education, employment, the Canadian income tax system and many others.

Community Connections Activities - The Grande Prairie Centre for Newcomers takes pride in hosting activities connecting newcomers to long term residents in order to feel welcome and become active members of the community. These activities aim to increase newcomers' social and professional networks,  culture exchange and improve English skills as well. We strongly encourage newcomers in participating in these activities which enhance their life and help them root smoothly into Canadian society. Community connections include Volunteering, English conversational Club, Multicultural Crafts, Intercultural presentations, Cultural Group Dances, Heritage day  Kermes etc.
